As a freelance artist, I like to try everything. I mainly specialize in caricatures and car art, but I also do portraits, wildlife, specialty cards, designs, etc. I work with pencil, colored pencil, colored markers, pen and ink, acrylic paints, and scratchboard. I'm currently working with air brush and plan to learn C.A.D. programs. My art education comes from public school, self-education, and my father, an artist, who has been my biggest influence. I also learned mechanical drawing at Blackhawk Technical College. I'm an avid auto enthusiast. I have restored and painted Chevy "muscle" cars in the past and still own one today.

I am active in my community and partner with local businesses with custom logo designs, signage, and other marketing needs. Some of my most notable accomplishments are co-illustrating the book "Spooky Campfire Stores" by Harold Woodrell and commissioned a 67 Chevrolet art piece to the Rock County Historic Society.

My passion for photography began when I received my first flashcube camera. I imagined traveling the world, meeting people from all walks of life, experiencing new cultures.

When I received my first Cannon EOS DSLR, I studied photography books, took online courses, and attended workshops and classes at the local community college.

My first subjects were my 4 kids, and by living in rural South-Central Wisconsin, it provided many opportunities to photograph them in the natural beauty and local community/school events.

As a Nurse I was given the opportunity to travel all around the United States, and abroad to Uganda, East Africa.  Photography became an extension of my creativity, a great diversion from the nursing worries and stress.

In Uganda, “through the lens” of my camera, I was able to witness, village life and poverty, the massive wildlife, strongest waterfalls, and longest rivers.   It was life changing and something I will cherish forever.
